Wedding Videography

By booking with Finn Hoggart Visuals (FHV), you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all wedding videography services provided, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1. Coverage
Our standard coverage includes presence of up to 10 hours on the wedding day. Start and end times are flexible and will be discussed prior to the event to suit your schedule.
Additional hours or custom coverage may be available upon request, but may incur an additional fee.
2. Deliverables
All wedding films are tailored to each couple. Deliverables will vary depending on the chosen package and may include a teaser trailer, highlights film, ceremony footage, speeches, or other edits.
Deliverables and turnaround times will be clearly communicated upon booking.
Final films are delivered via a downloadable online link (e.g. Google Drive or similar).
3. Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding date, to allow editing to begin.
Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of services, or late delivery of content.
4. Travel
All wedding packages include travel across England and Wales.
For weddings taking place in Scotland, Ireland, or international locations, additional travel and accommodation costs apply. These will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking.
Accommodation may be required for weddings that involve extensive travel (more than 3 hours from Shrewsbury, Shropshire), early starts, or later-than-usual finishes. If this is the case, it will be arranged in consultation with you and added to the final invoice where necessary.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil the booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will work with you to find a suitable replacement or issue a full refund, including your deposit.
6. Client Responsibilities
We ask that you provide a schedule/timeline of the day and communicate any important moments you would like captured in advance.
Clients are responsible for securing permissions to film at the venue(s), including drone usage where applicable.
7. Usage & Promotional Rights
By booking with us, you grant permission for FHV to use edited footage (including short clips or full films) for promotional purposes, including but not limited to our website, social media, and any online portfolio.
If you’d prefer to keep your video private, please let us know before or at the time of booking - we’re always happy to discuss this.
8. Creative Freedom
All films are edited in FHV’s distinct style. While we welcome collaboration and input before your wedding day, final editing decisions are made at our discretion to ensure the best result.
Requests for major re-edits will be subject to an additional fee.
9. Music Licensing & Usage
We exclusively use licensed, royalty-free music from our professional, advanced music library. This ensures your film is legally compliant for online use and avoids copyright infringement.
Copyrighted music cannot be used in wedding videos without correct licensing.
We choose music based on the atmosphere of your day and your personalities, often decided through conversations with you and how the day unfolds.
In the unique event where a couple requests a different track after delivery, a full re-edit will be required due to the way footage is cut to music. This will be quoted and billed separately.

Commercial Videography

These terms and conditions apply to all commercial videography services provided by Finn Hoggart Visuals (FHV). By confirming a booking or signing a project agreement, you accept the following terms:
1. Deliverables & Scope of Work
The nature of each project varies. All deliverables, timelines and expectations will be confirmed in a written proposal or project agreement prior to filming.
One round of revisions is included with video content unless otherwise agreed. Additional amends will be costed separately.
Final content will typically be delivered within four to eight weeks of the final shoot day, unless delays are caused by the client (see Section 3).
2. Shoot Days & Project Duration
The number of days allocated to each project (including shoot days, travel and weather watch) will be outlined in the proposal.
If the project requires filming over multiple days or at remote locations, the client may be asked to provide accommodation, particularly where sunrise/sunset footage, weekend activity capture, or early setup is required.
All filming days will be arranged in collaboration with the client and any third parties involved (e.g. interviewees, property owners).
3. Delays & Rescheduling
Any delays caused by the client - including late approvals, rescheduling, or lack of communication - may impact the delivery timeline.
If weather conditions make filming unsafe or impractical, FHV will work with the client to reschedule within reasonable availability. Additional shoot days may incur extra costs; the client will be notified in advance if this becomes likely.
4. Payment Terms
All payment structures - including total investment, timelines and deliverables - will be confirmed in your individual proposal or agreement.
One-Off Projects:
A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking.
This deposit is refundable within 30 days of payment. After this period, it becomes non-refundable to cover pre-production planning and time allocated to the project.
The remaining balance will be invoiced and is due according to the agreed payment schedule.
Retainer Clients:
For clients on a monthly retainer, payment is due at the start of each month unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A minimum of two months’ notice is required should the client wish to cancel their retainer agreement.
Work will continue during the notice period, and payment will still be required for that duration.
5. Usage Rights
Upon full payment, the client receives full rights to use all final video content for marketing and promotional purposes, without the requirement to credit FHV.
FHV retains the right to use edited content in its portfolio, website, and social media, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If you’d prefer to keep your video marketing private, please state this at the time of booking in.
If you’d like your videos to be produced under NDA, we can do so. Please state this at the time of booking in, or at the time of the first shoot, as we often share live updates on social media.
6. Creative Direction
While client input and collaboration are welcome, creative direction, filming style and editing decisions rest with FHV.
Requests for major changes to style, colour, audio or format once editing has begun will incur additional costs.
7. Travel & Accommodation
Travel expenses are included for projects based within England and Wales.
Projects requiring travel to Scotland, Ireland or international locations may incur additional travel and accommodation costs, which will be clearly outlined in the proposal.
8. Music Licensing & Usage
